Pohon Andalas

Pohon andalas or  mulberry (Latin: Morus) is a genus of 10-16 species of trees indigenous to the particular medium heat and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa and America. The mayority of native species from Asia. One of them was the famous in Desa Andaleh, Kecamatan Batipuh, Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatera Barat, which has reached more than 120 years of age.

Mulberry growing fast enough while still young, but then grow slowly and rarely exceed 10-15 m high Mulberry leaf is a simple leaf-shaped lobes and sawing at the edges. Mulberry fruit is the fruit of a compound with a length of 2-3 cm, red when still easy and purple when ripe, and edible.
